History of Keya
Principal, Seble Dejene started Keya Consulting located in Reston, Virginia in February of 1998. The company began with the creation of an Accounting and Management Consulting Services headed by the owner/manager. In November of 1999, Dejene added an Information Systems Consulting service to enhance Keya’s capabilities. In May 2001, the corporation opened a branch office in the city of Baltimore, MD. In September 2001, Keya Consulting, Inc. was accepted into the Small Business Administration 8(a) and HubZone Program. Keya is certified as a Woman-Owned business by the U.S. Small Business Administration, a woman-owned/minority business enterprise in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the State of Delaware, the City of Baltimore and the Maryland and Virginia Departments of Transportation.
Our founder and president, Seble Dejene graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Data Processing in 1985 from Ferries State College. Ms. Dejene has over 15 years of experience as a consultant and advisor to senior management.

significance of this definition
